Heard the counsel for the petitioner.
The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a writ of mandamus directing the Consolidation Officer, Sadar, Shahjahanpur, i.e., respondent no. 1 to decide Objection No. 1463 of 2015 filed under Section 9-A(2) of the Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 pending in the court of Consolidation Officer, Sadar, Shahjahanpur.
The Consolidation Officer, Sadar, Shahjahanpur, i.e., respondent no. 1 is directed to decide the aforesaid objection, if still pending, within a period of one year from the date a copy of this order is produced before him, in case, there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid objection.
It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
