2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to number the petition dated 18.07.2017 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed the petition as early as on 18.07.l2017, the 2nd respondent has not numbered the petition so far.
4. Mr.M.Maharaja learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the 2nd respondent submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to number the petition, within a time frame.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to number the petition filed by the petitioner on 18.07.2017, if the petition is in order, within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
