Respondent Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent police to consider petitioner's representation dated 27.1.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner in order to conduct the cultural and adventure program and to give police protection which is scheduled to be held on 7.2.2017 and in future date also in Arulmigu Sri Sakthi Kaliyamman and Sri Mariyamman Temple, situated at Kaveri Street, Peon quarters, Mettur Dam-636 401.
