The petitioner, who is student of Bachelor of Computer Application at Technical Education & Research Institute, Post Graduate College, Ghazipur, applied for scholarship as per the scheme framed in this regard by the respondent State. The petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste category. According to the status, as displayed on the official website, the request for scholarship has been rejected on account of the petitioner having furnished incorrect bank account details. The petitioner has now filed the instant writ petition seeking a mandamus commanding the respondents to grant scholarship to him, after permitting him to correct the bank account details, as disclosed in his application.
Learned standing counsel submitted that the second respondent is competent to examine the grievance of the petitioner.
Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the second respondent with exhaustive representation along with certified copy of this order, and in which event, the second respondent shall pass a speaking order, within a period of next eight weeks.
