Hon'ble Manoj Kumar Gupta,J.
The petitioner, who is respondent in Case No. 1201/2016 under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, filed by the first respondent, has filed the instant petition seeking a direction to the Principal Judge, Family Court, Kanpur Nagar, to decide the same, within a time specified by this Court.
Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.
In view of the aforesaid provisions under the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
The petition is accordingly disposed of.
