The petitioner is an aspirant for admission for the MBBS Course in the ESIC Medical College under the ESIC Management Quota. The petitioner despatched her application on 27.8.2014 and it reached the office of the ESI Corporation only on 3.9.2014. On account of this, the application has not been considered. No doubt, the petitioner's application cannot be considered in the light of the terms and conditions of the prospectus as the last date for the receipt of the application was on 01.9.2014. However, there are eight remaining vacancies, this Court in W.A.No.1344/2014 directed to the ESI Corporation to take a decision in the matter.
In view of the above, the petitioner's application shall be considered for the remaining eight seats in accordance with inter se merits of the candidates who are aspiring eight seats in the light of the judgment in W.A.No.1344/2014.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
