This writ petition has been filed against cancellation of firearm licence.
Learned Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection that the petitioner has an alternative remedy of filing appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959.
In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed on the ground of alternative remedy.
However, in case the petitioner prefers an appeal within 15 days from today, the Appellate Authority shall not go into the question of limitation and decide the same strictly in accordance with law.
